Full day private fishing trip around the beautiful Coral Island and Maiton, located approximately 9km south east from Phuket. Spend the day spinning (bottom fishing) and exploring marine animals as you are snorkeling and swimming around the area. Coral Island
Coral Island is a popular Island located roughly 50 min by boat from Phuket. This beautiful island has stunning beaches like Long Beach and Banana Beach. There’s also plenty of activities and things to do such as snorkeling, kayaking, bird watching, hiking (to viewpoint) and more. A handful of restaurants and cafe’s can also be found, where you can stop by for a quick snack or additional refreshments.

Maiton Island
Maiton, also known as ‘Honeymoon Island’ is a private island located around 9km from Phuket. The area is known for dolphin watching and for having stunning scenery. Since it’s a private island, you will only be able to fish/swim/snorkel nearby as very limited access is allowed on the Island.

This trip's itinerary does not include island visit, only fishing nearby. If you would like to explore the island, please mention it in your booking.

What fish can I catch on the fishing trip?

Depending on the season, you’ll have a different chance of catching different types of fish. Most commonly caught fish on this trip are grouper and . If you’re looking to catch the larger fish, we recommend our fishing trips to Racha Yai or Racha Noi islands, since it’s located further out from Phuket. Can I bring alcohol, or my own drinks or food?

Yes! You can bring your own alcohol, drinks and food to consume on the boat.

Can you purchase alcohol and serve it to us?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to purchase any alcohol. You can however, bring your own to consume on the trip.

Can I take/bring home the fish with me?

Yes you can! Please be sure to mentioned it to us beforehand as well as let the captain know.

What happens if the weather is too bad?

The weather is constantly monitored by us and we frequently check Thai Meteorological Department’s website for weather updates and warnings. If the weather/sea conditions are too bad, or TMD has issued a warning, we will inform you before your trip and ask to move to another date, which also suits you. New trip date also depends on boat availability. You can also choose to cancel the trip and get refund 100% of purchased price. Please see Terms & Conditions for more details.

How do I pay?

As of 01 April 2024, due to various ‘no shows’, we only accept advanced payment that are made through Sommai Fishing Tour’s website, using payment link which will be sent to your email from contact@sommaifishingtour.com or official Facebook/WhatsApp (sometimes under Hello Andaman Tours).

If you stay in Phuket – Rawai, Chalong, Kata, Karon, Patong areas, we might be able to arrange for someone to pickup payment (cash in THB only accepted). Please contact us in such case.

What is the latest time I can book a trip?

If you’re using our booking page, the earliest date you can book a trip is 4 days prior. If you’re looking to book a trip for tomorrow or within the next 3 days, please message us on Facebook or WhatsApp.

Can I cancel or change the date of the trip?

You can cancel the trip 24 hours before trip and get a refund, however, depending on when your payment was made, a small cancellation fee might be applied. T&C applies, please see Terms & Conditions. You can also change trip date (depending on availability) at least 24 hours before your trip free of charge. Later cancellations are subject to a charge. Please see Terms & Conditions.

What if I prefer vegetarian, pescatarian or halal food?

We are able to arrange some food preferences. Please mentioned it in your booking under ‘Requests’, otherwise all our food served is Halal.

Can I drive to the meeting point for the tour using my own transportation?

Yes you can! Please select ‘Hotel Transfer: No’ in your booking. A meetup time and place will be sent to you in the confirmation email.

Can the itinerary be changed?

Small adjustments to the itinerary is possible such as Island visits, less time spent on swimming/snorkeling and more fishing, late pickup time etc. Please make sure to mention it under ‘requests’ in your booking.
